The Port of Dover information

Dover - Calais

You deserve a holiday!

Ferries taking the route Dover - Calais depart from Dover's Eastern Dock. Dover Eastern Docks can easily be accessed via road, rail and shuttle bus.

Please note that when checking in on the ferry, allow at least 30 minutes before departure if travelling to Calais by car.

A ferry passenger on foot should allow a good 45 minutes before departure, especially at peak times as the Dover to Calais ferry route has to keep to a rigid timetable and has to depart promptly.

If travelling to Dover port by car:-

You will find the Dover ferry terminal approximately one mile from the Dover town centre. You can access it easily via the M2 and M20. You will see signs for the ferry terminal as you approach Dover.

When you enter the ferry port keep to the left and join the 'Vehicle with Reservations' lane to check in at the booths.

Parking your car at Dover Port mutli-storey car park is an option instead of taking your car to Calais. A dropping zone or 'stop-off' area is available to customers for just 15 minutes.
